Description
This activity gives students practice in talking about the differences between two pictures. They also find out about the format of the A2 Flyers Speaking test.

  • Aims:
     1. to introduce students to Part 1 of the A2 Flyers Speaking test and to the Speaking test in general
     2. to give students practice in talking about the differences between two pictures.

NB : There are four aspects that are assessed in the A2 Flyers Speaking test:  =

• Reception – listening and interaction  =  Réception – écoute et interaction
• Production – how quickly they respond and how much they say  =  Production – rapidité de réponse et quantité de mots prononcés
• Production – grammar and vocabulary  =  Production – grammaire et vocabulaire
• Production – pronunciation.  =  Production – prononciation

Each criterion carries a maximum mark of 3.


Consigne : Please make a list, in English, of the differences between these two pictures of a studio. =  Veuillez dresser une liste, en anglais, des différences entre ces deux images d’un studio.

Examples:

In the first picture the boy is sitting on the seat/bench  and in the second he is sitting on the grass.

In the first picture there is a backpack/rucksack is in front of the seat and in the second it is on the seat/bench.
